Drama on the highway: Tir overturns in a curve and crushes an ambulance with a patient on board

It is two dead and three people involved the toll of the road accident that took place along the junction connecting SS76 and the exit of Ancona Nord, in the territory of Falconara Marittima (Italy), where a truck with trailer overturned crushing an ambulance of the "Red Cross" of Senigallia and a BMW car in transit in the opposite direction, November 28, 2022.

The 28-year-old driver of the rescue vehicle died, and the patient transported, another Red Cross volunteer was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital in Torrette Ancona.

The heavy vehicle, loaded with straw bales, had left the A14 motorway and was heading towards the Interporto of Jesi. The ambulance, on the other hand, was engaged in a secondary service, not an emergency.

The 28-year-old driver who was driving the ambulance and the patient transported on it died. Miraculously unharmed the 60-year-old man from Ancona who was driving the BMW.

The driver of the truck, a 30-year-old foreign man residing in Italy, was unharmed, but despite being in a state of shock, he remained on the spot and did not ask for medical attention.

The victims
Simone Sartini, 28, from Senigallia, was an employee of the "Red Cross", ivy driving the ambulance. The patient transported was a man over 80 years old, also from Senigallia (Italy).
